According to available information, the incident occurred in Dhani Prem Singh, a village situated in the Jalalabad sub-division of Fazilka district. A woman who had traveled from Ludhiana arrived at the location and created a significant disturbance, loudly claiming that a young man present was her husband. This declaration prompted the other woman, who was inside the premises, to come outside, leading to an immediate and heated dispute between the two.
The argument quickly intensified, turning physical when the woman from Ludhiana allegedly grabbed the braid of the man's wife and initiated a fight. During the altercation, she reportedly insisted that the man had lived with her for a period of seven months and was, therefore, her husband, directly challenging the other woman's marital status.
Intervention and Police Involvement
As the situation grew increasingly tense and volatile, the brother of the man in question stepped in to separate the two women and attempted to mediate the conflict. Assistant Sub-Inspector Sawar Singh, from the Veroke police station, confirmed that the police have taken note of the incident and are currently conducting a thorough investigation.
