BRS Leader Harish Rao Launches Fierce Attack on Telangana Chief Minister
Bharat Rashtra Samithi deputy floor leader T Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday. The Siddipet MLA made serious allegations against the state's top leader from Hyderabad.
Accusations of Betraying Statehood and Congress Principles
Harish Rao claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has sided with those who opposed Telangana's statehood movement. He alleged that Reddy now aims guns at activists who fought for a separate state. The BRS leader made these remarks after the chief minister called upon TDP and YSR fans to defeat his party.
"While enjoying the position of chief minister," Rao stated on social media, "he maintains secret ties with BJP at the Centre." The MLA accused Reddy of betraying Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a "Congress traitor."
Alleged Double Standards and Regional Betrayal
Rao pointed out what he called contradictory behavior by the chief minister. "While Congress opposes the BJP government nationwide, Revanth supports it," he asserted. The BRS leader noted that Reddy openly expresses admiration for TDP, creating what he described as suspicious political alignments.
The MLA further accused the chief minister of serving neighboring states' interests through projects like Banakacharla. "Acting like a fence-eating crop," Rao said, "he betrays Telangana's interests."
Questions About Law and Order
Harish Rao raised serious concerns about the chief minister's recent call to demolish flag posts. He described this as a direct attack on law and order that encourages criminal behavior.
"Where is the police responsibility to maintain peace and order?" Rao questioned. "When the person in the chief minister position, who also oversees the home department, openly incites crime and hatred, why is the DGP silent?"
Warning of Political Consequences
The BRS leader claimed that Revanth Reddy's alleged inability to face political challenges has led to calls for physical attacks and property destruction. Rao described this as evidence of what he called the chief minister's political downfall.
"If such actions attempt to create chaos in Telangana," Rao warned, "the people will teach a fitting lesson." He issued a strong response to the flag post demolition threat, stating that any such action would receive a response that leaves Revanth Reddy stunned.
The BRS leader concluded with a firm declaration about protecting party symbols through democratic means. "We will respond in a way that leaves Revanth stunned," he asserted, "teaching a lesson through the people's mandate."
