In a significant move to bolster regional growth, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced a series of high-value development initiatives for the Gohana assembly constituency on Sunday. The announcements, made during the 'Dhanyavaad Evam Vikas Rally' in Gohana, underscore the state government's commitment to fostering inclusive development and expanding critical infrastructure across Haryana.

Key Infrastructure and Civic Projects Announced

Additionally, the development of Bhagwan Parshuram Virasat Park, complete with a jogging track over Drain No. 8, is set to provide recreational spaces for residents.

To address urban congestion, a multi-storey parking facility with commercial space will be established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis, contingent on land availability. Healthcare and Education Sector Enhancements

The healthcare sector received a substantial boost with the announcement of a cardiac catheterization lab on PPP mode at Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College in Khanpur Kalan. This facility is expected to improve cardiac care services in the region. Furthermore, the Physiotherapy College at the same institution will commence classes from the academic session 2027-28, following the completion of its building, enhancing educational opportunities in medical fields.

In education, a committee from the education department will be formed to consider upgrading Government Middle School in Garhi Sarai Namdarkhan to senior secondary level. Additionally, development works worth Rs 1 crore are planned for all schools in the Gohana assembly constituency, aiming to improve educational infrastructure and resources.

Tourism, Transport, and Urban Development Initiatives

To stimulate tourism and urban growth, CM Saini revealed plans for a resort in Gohana, subject to the availability of two acres of land from the gram panchayat. A Transport Nagar will be developed by the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), with plots allocated for social institutions in upcoming HSVP sectors, fostering community development.

Infrastructure upgrades include the establishment of a new 33 KV substation at Power House Meham Road in Gohana and the upgrade of the existing 33 KV substation at Khanpur Kalan, ensuring reliable power supply. Renovation works for Irrigation Bhawan, Jal Shakti Bhawan, and the Rest House in Gohana are also on the agenda, along with paving Drain No. 4 in the Badota habitation area and reconstructing the Gohana Minor.

Additional Civic and Naming Changes

Further announcements include the construction of Shiv Dham on Sonipat road, pending land availability, and a request to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a service lane along the Jammu-Katra Expressway from village Rukhi to Aahulana, improving connectivity. Renovation and construction of bridges on various drains across the constituency will enhance water management and transportation.

In a nod to local heritage, village Garhi Ujalekhan will be renamed as Krishan Nagar and village Garhi Namdarkhan as Sundar Nagar, upon receipt of proposals from the respective gram panchayats, reflecting community-driven identity changes.

These initiatives, collectively worth crores of rupees, demonstrate a holistic approach to development, targeting multiple sectors to uplift the Gohana assembly constituency and align with Haryana's broader growth objectives.
