Hyderabad: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday announced that the second phase of the Indiramma housing scheme will be implemented shortly. He stated that the state government is making all efforts to resolve issues related to sada bainama, prohibited land lists, and land records.
Praja Darbar Participation
Participating in a 'praja darbar' at Kusumanchi in Khammam district, the minister noted that a majority of applications submitted by people during these interactions were for Indiramma houses. He attributed the huge demand to the failure of the previous BRS government to honor its promise of providing 2-BHK houses to the poor. "Such a huge demand for Indiramma houses is due to the failure of the previous BRS government to honor its promise of giving 2-BHK houses to the poor. The previous BRS government betrayed the people on the housing front," he added.
Direct Financial Assistance
Stating that the Congress government is directly depositing financial assistance into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme, the minister said the government is releasing money every Monday to ensure that the first phase of the housing scheme is completed on a fast track.
Fulfilling Promises
The minister emphasized that the Congress government is implementing the promises made in the farmers' declaration released as part of the party's election campaign by Rahul Gandhi. He highlighted that paddy and maize crops are being procured at minimum support price, crop loans of up to 2 lakh have been waived for 25 lakh farmers, and a bonus of 500 is being paid for fine paddy.
