Karnal By-election Voting Concludes Peacefully

Voting for the by-election to five posts in Karnal district concluded peacefully on Monday, with officials reporting a high voter turnout. The by-polls were held for the positions of one Zila Parishad member and four Panchayat Samiti members across various blocks in the district.

According to the district administration, the voting process, which began at 7 am, continued without any untoward incident until its conclusion at 5 pm. Stringent security arrangements were made to ensure a smooth and fair election. A total of 15 candidates were in the fray for the five posts.

Voter Turnout and Arrangements

Officials stated that the voter turnout was encouraging, with many polling stations witnessing long queues of voters.
