Kejriwal: BJP Betrayed Punjabis Again After AAP Rebellion

Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has broken his silence on the recent rebellion within the party in Punjab. In his first reaction, Kejriwal accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of betraying the people of Punjab once again. He claimed that the rebellion was engineered by the BJP to destabilize the AAP government in the state.

Kejriwal's Allegations Against BJP

Speaking to the media, Kejriwal stated that the BJP has a history of betraying Punjabis and their interests. He said, "The BJP has once again betrayed the people of Punjab. They are using their tactics to create unrest within AAP and weaken our government." Kejriwal further alleged that the BJP is threatened by the developmental work done by the AAP government in Punjab and is trying to derail it through such conspiracies.

Rebellion in AAP Punjab Unit

Several AAP leaders in Punjab have recently expressed dissent against the party leadership, leading to a major rebellion. Some of these leaders have even threatened to resign from their positions. Kejriwal, however, downplayed the rebellion, calling it a "minor issue" that would be resolved soon. He assured party workers that the leadership is in touch with all aggrieved leaders and will address their concerns.

Kejriwal also criticized the BJP for its alleged role in the rebellion. "The BJP is desperate to topple our government because they cannot compete with us on development. They have resorted to cheap tactics like engineering rebellions within our party," he said.

BJP's Response

The BJP has denied any involvement in the AAP rebellion. Party spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "Kejriwal is trying to divert attention from the internal problems of his party. The BJP has nothing to do with their internal matters. He should focus on solving the issues within his party instead of making baseless allegations."

Impact on Punjab Politics

The rebellion has raised questions about the stability of the AAP government in Punjab. Political analysts believe that if the rebellion is not controlled, it could impact the party's performance in the upcoming local body elections. However, Kejriwal remains confident that the party will emerge stronger from this crisis.

In his concluding remarks, Kejriwal urged the people of Punjab to remain united and not fall for the BJP's "divisive tactics." He said, "We have come a long way in fulfilling our promises to the people of Punjab. We will not let anyone sabotage our mission."
