"Often when files would come to me pertaining to officers seeking transfer to their home district, most of the time they cited the same reason: that they needed to take care of their parents," he stated. "Also, now officers use their parents' name along with their own on nameplates. Then why not make it their legal duty to take care of their parents through this new law?"

Under the proposed act, if a dependent parent or disabled sibling requires maintenance allowance from their state government kin, they can apply to a designated authority. Upon verification of neglect or inadequate care, the authority may order a portion of the employee's salary to be paid to them every month. This provision aims to create a formal, enforceable mechanism to ensure financial support for vulnerable family members.
