In a significant move aimed at bolstering rural infrastructure and social security, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav of Madhya Pradesh has unveiled a comprehensive development package for the Chhindwara district. The announcement includes 105 new projects with a total investment exceeding ₹500 crore, marking a major step towards enhancing the region's economic and social landscape.
Massive Investment in Chhindwara's Development
The Chief Minister emphasized that the welfare of farmers and all sections of society remains the government's primary objective. The 105 development projects span various sectors, including agriculture, education, healthcare, and transportation, designed to address the diverse needs of the local population. This initiative is expected to create numerous job opportunities and improve the overall quality of life in Chhindwara.
Direct Benefit Transfers to Support Laborers and Pensioners
In addition to the infrastructure push, Dr. Yadav announced the transfer of ₹157 crore directly into the bank accounts of 7,008 laborers under the Sambal Yojana. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance and social security to workers in the unorganized sector, ensuring their economic stability.
Furthermore, the government has disbursed ₹463 crore to over 55 lakh beneficiaries of the Samajik Suraksha Pension scheme. This pension program supports elderly citizens, widows, and disabled individuals, offering them a reliable source of income and enhancing their social welfare.
Focus on Inclusive Growth and Community Welfare
The Chief Minister reiterated the administration's commitment to inclusive growth, stating that these measures are part of a broader strategy to uplift all segments of society. By combining large-scale infrastructure projects with direct financial support, the government aims to foster sustainable development and reduce economic disparities in the region.
