A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Kanhan village on the outskirts of Nagpur on Tuesday afternoon, where a 10-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide at her residence. The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the local community, with police revealing that the girl's mother had also ended her life six years ago, adding a layer of profound sorrow to the case.
Circumstances Leading to the Tragedy
According to preliminary police investigations, the girl's father had relocated to Mumbai for work, leaving her under the care of her 24-year-old cousin sister. The young victim, a Class 8 student, was reportedly upset after her cousin denied her request for Rs15 to purchase a cold drink. In a moment of distress, she locked herself in a room and hanged herself, as detailed by police officials.
