CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Patna Infrastructure Projects, Demands Timely Completion
Nitish Kumar Reviews Patna Infrastructure Projects

Patna witnessed significant developments in its infrastructure landscape as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted a thorough inspection of key ongoing projects in the city on Thursday. The CM's visit focused on two major components of the city's transportation network that promise to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity.

Major Infrastructure Projects Under Scanner

During his inspection tour, the Chief Minister examined the progress of the under-construction Sipara railway overbridge and the 2.1km Sipara-Mithapur elevated road. Both these crucial infrastructure elements form part of phase-II of the ambitious Mithapur-Mahuli-Punpun (MMP) road project that aims to transform Patna's transportation framework.

Nitish Kumar issued clear instructions to officials present during the inspection to ensure that both projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe. The authorities have set August next year as the completion deadline for these significant infrastructure additions that will substantially improve traffic flow in the region.

Comprehensive Project Review

The CM's inspection wasn't limited to just the main structures. He also examined the construction of approach and service roads that will create seamless connectivity between the Mithapur flyover and the Chiraiyatand overbridge. This integrated approach demonstrates the government's commitment to creating a comprehensive transportation solution rather than isolated infrastructure pieces.

It's worth noting that Phase-I of the MMP road project has already been completed, with the Bhupatipur-Mahuli elevated road finished and the Mahuli-Punpun section inaugurated by the Chief Minister himself on June 16 this year. The current phase represents the continuation of this infrastructure development initiative.

High-Level Official Presence

The inspection saw participation from several senior officials, reflecting the importance the administration places on these projects. The CM was accompanied by his principal secretary Deepak Kumar, along with secretaries Kumar Ravi and Chandrashekhar Singh. Road construction department secretary Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalakatti was also present, along with other senior officials including Shirshat Kapil Ashok and Patna DM Thiyagarajan S M.

Following the infrastructure review, the Chief Minister conducted separate meetings to assess the performance of the cabinet secretariat department and the state vigilance department. During these reviews, he reinforced the government's guiding principle of "justice with development and zero tolerance towards corruption."

Transparency and Efficiency Emphasis

Cabinet secretariat department additional chief secretary Arwind Kumar Chaudhary made detailed presentations about the work being undertaken by both departments. The CM specifically praised the vigilance department for functioning with transparency and efficiency in its efforts to curb corruption.

Nitish Kumar emphasized that all priority schemes of the government must be executed on time without any compromise on quality standards. This dual focus on timely completion and quality assurance underscores the administration's commitment to delivering substantial infrastructure improvements to the people of Patna while maintaining the highest standards of governance.

The ongoing infrastructure development in Patna represents a significant step toward addressing the city's growing transportation needs and demonstrates the state government's focused approach to urban development and improved connectivity for residents.
