CM Nitish Kumar Conducts Inspection of Key Patna Development Projects
Patna Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday undertook a comprehensive review of several ongoing infrastructure projects in the state capital, issuing directives to officials to expedite construction activities for early completion. Accompanied by Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, the CM focused on enhancing urban amenities for residents.
Detailed Review of Bihar Gaurav Park Construction
During the inspection, Nitish Kumar examined the development of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Park, popularly known as Bihar Gaurav Park, situated near the Samadhi Sthal of India's first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad at Bans Ghat. Emphasizing the park's strategic location, the CM stated it should be developed to higher standards given its proximity to the memorial site.
According to an official communique from the Chief Minister's Office, the Bihar Gaurav Park spans approximately 10 acres between the Samadhi Sthal and JP Ganga Path. This thematic park will showcase Bihar's rich historical and cultural legacy through:
- Inspirational narratives of eminent personalities including Aryabhatt, Chanakya, Samrat Ashok, Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, and Dashrath Manjhi
- Depictions of architectural heritage such as Nalanda, Vikramshila, religious stupas, temples, and mausoleums
- Food and beverage facilities for visitors
- A dedicated playground for tourists
- A grand memorial complex at the existing site honoring Dr. Rajendra Prasad
Nitish Kumar highlighted that the project would significantly benefit residents by offering scenic views between the Samadhi Sthal on one side and JP Ganga Path on the other.
Renovation and Development of Crematorium Facilities
The Chief Minister also inspected the newly constructed Mukti Dham complex at Bans Ghat, reviewing the upgraded facilities at the renovated crematorium. The Bans Ghat crematorium has been revitalized across approximately 4.5 acres with enhanced civic, religious, and cultural amenities.
Furthermore, Nitish Kumar examined the old crematorium complex at the same location, directing officials to develop it comprehensively with all necessary facilities matching the standards of the newly built Mukti Dham.
