Panchkula Mayor, Councillors Take Oath; CM Urges Development

The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected mayor and councillors of the Panchkula Municipal Corporation was held at Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended the event as the chief guest. Ambala Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma administered the oath to the mayor and councillors.

Chief Minister's Address

Saini congratulated Mayor Sham Lal Bansal and all councillors on their victory and urged them to ensure that the city's development roadmap remains people-centric. Interacting with the councillors, the Chief Minister said that the people have entrusted them with the responsibility of serving for the next five years. He advised them to stay connected with residents, listen to their grievances, and prioritise development.

Assurance of Funds and Focus on Cleanliness

He also assured that adequate funds would be provided for Panchkula's development. Emphasising the need to strengthen Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0, he said the government aims to make Panchkula a clean and green city. The Chief Minister highlighted that a well-planned urban framework is essential for sustainable growth and urged the newly elected representatives to work collectively towards achieving these goals.
