In a significant administrative reshuffle, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikey K Sharma on Monday transferred 31 police officers across the district. Among the key changes, 14 young sub-inspectors have been entrusted with the charge of police stations, marking a strategic move to enhance grassroots policing and improve law and order response.
Key Appointments
As per the new postings, Dinesh Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Station House Officer (SHO) of Buddha Colony police station. Rajiv Kumar has been posted as Circle Inspector in Hathidah. Manish Kumar Anand has been shifted to Police Lines, while Santosh Kumar Sharma will take over as SHO of Ramkrishna Nagar.
Bambam Kumar, who previously served as Additional SHO at Kotwali, has been appointed SHO of Shahjahanpur. Suman Kumar will now head the Gaurichak police station.
Dial 100 Officers Deployed to Field
Several officers from the Dial 100 unit have also been moved to field postings. Tanesh Payla has been made SHO of Sigori, Abhishek Kumar posted as SHO of Hathidah, Khushboo Khatoon will head Daniyawan police station, and Shravan Kumar has been appointed SHO of Rani Talab.
Objective of the Reshuffle
Police sources indicated that the decision to hand over police station charge to 14 young sub-inspectors is aimed at strengthening grassroots policing. The move is expected to improve the response time and effectiveness of law enforcement at the local level, ensuring better public safety and order.
