Pedestrian dies after two-wheeler hit in Kandivli West

A 52-year-old pedestrian lost his life after a two-wheeler hit him while he was crossing the road in Kandivli West. The Charkop Police have registered an FIR against the motorcyclist for negligence and rash driving.

Victim Details

The victim, identified as Pir Mohammad Hasan Shaikh, resided with his wife, sons, and their family at Kharodi in Malad. On May 13, around 10:45 pm, his younger son, Saukat Shaikh, received a call from Pir Mohammad’s phone. The caller, unknown to the family, informed that Pir Mohammad had suffered injuries in a road crash and had been rushed to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital in Kandivli.

Family Rushes to Hospital

Saukat’s older brother, Imtiaz, and their sister, Rehana, immediately rushed to the hospital. They dialed their father’s mobile number again, and a person who answered directed them to the casualty department. Upon arrival, doctors declared Pir Mohammad dead.

The family later learned that Pir Mohammad was crossing the road near Kandivli Industrial Estate at Ganesh Nagar when a two-wheeler struck him. The motorcyclist, Bharat Nangre, and his pillion rider, Rahul Yadav, brought Pir Mohammad to the hospital.

Legal Action

Based on a statement given by Imtiaz, the Charkop Police registered an FIR against Nangre for negligence and rash driving. The investigation is ongoing.
