CM Revanth Reddy Urges Women to Vote for Development in Panchayat Polls
Revanth Reddy: Vote for Development in Panchayat Polls

Hyderabad Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has positioned the upcoming panchayat elections as a critical turning point for grassroots development, making a passionate appeal to voters, particularly women, to transcend party politics and elect candidates committed to progress.

Development Over Party Lines

During a public meeting in his Kodangal constituency after laying foundation stones for various development works, the Chief Minister emphasized that the choice of sarpanches would directly determine the pace and direction of development in every village. Revanth Reddy specifically asked women to send a powerful message from every panchayat to the Prime Minister and Parliament by electing development-oriented leaders and rejecting those who obstruct progress.

The CM revealed that the State Election Commission is expected to announce the panchayat poll schedule within three to four days, setting the stage for what he described as a make-or-break moment for rural development.

Kodangal: The Model Constituency Vision

Revanth Reddy articulated his ambitious plan to transform Kodangal into a model constituency that other MLAs across the country would study. He highlighted several major projects currently underway, including the transformation of Lagacharla industrial park into what he termed 'Telangana's Noida.'

In a significant symbolic gesture, the Chief Minister urged women to wear the Indiramma sarees distributed by the state government when they cast their votes. He described this as representing their support for 'Indiramma rajyam' and their desire for continued development under the current administration.

Women-Centric Development Strategy

The government's development strategy in Kodangal places women at the center of all initiatives. Revanth Reddy emphasized his unique position as their 'brother CM' and urged them not to miss this opportunity to transform their lives and their children's futures.

He outlined comprehensive educational investments worth Rs 5,000 crore aimed at establishing Kodangal as an education hub. The projects include medical, veterinary, agriculture, para-medical, nursing, physiotherapy, engineering and advanced technology institutions, along with junior and degree colleges and a Sainik school.

The CM urged voters to choose sarpanches who can directly approach him to secure approvals for works and resolve village-level issues efficiently. He also took a veiled dig at the BRS, alleging that some forces had attempted to provoke farmers in Lagacharla to obstruct development, and such elements must be rejected in the panchayat elections.

Other priority areas highlighted include irrigation projects, job creation through industrialization, lift irrigation schemes, a new railway line, new cement factories, and ensuring water supply to every acre under cultivation.

Revanth Reddy's vision for the next decade involves developing Kodangal as the best constituency in the country under the 'praja palana' (people's governance) model with public support, aiming to achieve this transformation by 2034.
