Karnataka BJP leader R Ashoka launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, comparing it to a broken lorry that cannot be repaired. Speaking at a press conference, Ashoka said, 'The Congress government is like an old lorry — only the driver has changed, not the vehicle. This broken vehicle cannot be repaired.'
Ashoka's Criticism of Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar
Ashoka specifically targeted former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and current Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. He claimed that Siddaramaiah left behind a broken lorry for Shivakumar to drive, implying that the state government is in a state of disrepair under Congress leadership.
Broken Vehicle Metaphor
The BJP leader elaborated on his metaphor, stating that the Congress government is fundamentally flawed and beyond repair. He argued that changing the driver — from Siddaramaiah to Shivakumar — does not fix the underlying problems of the administration.
Ashoka's comments come amid ongoing political tensions in Karnataka, where the Congress government has faced criticism over various issues including infrastructure, economy, and governance. The BJP has been vocal in its opposition, frequently accusing the ruling party of mismanagement.
The press meet was held to address recent developments in the state. Ashoka urged the public to recognize what he called the 'broken' nature of the Congress government and called for a change in leadership.
