Telugu Desam Party leaders remembered their founder on Sunday. They paid rich tributes to former chief minister NT Rama Rao. This marked his 30th death anniversary. The commemorations spread across Rayalaseema and Nellore districts.
Leaders Gather at Statues
State municipal administration minister Ponguru Narayana joined the events. Kovur TDP MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy also participated. They gathered at the NTR statue near the TDP district office in Nellore. The Kovur legislator spoke warmly about the late leader.
She called NTR a visionary leader. She described him as a source of pride for all Telugu people. The MLA highlighted several welfare initiatives. These programs aimed to uplift economically disadvantaged citizens during NTR's tenure.
Blood Donation and Community Service
Blood donation camps formed a key part of the anniversary. The TDP unit in Nellore organized one such camp. Nearly 300 individuals voluntarily donated blood there. This act of service honored NTR's legacy of public welfare.
Annadanam distribution programs also took place at various locations. These community meals reflected NTR's commitment to serving the people.
Kadapa Joins the Tributes
Meanwhile, in Kadapa, TDP leaders and cadres paid their respects. Government whip and Kadapa MLA Reddeppagari Madhavi Reddy led the group. They gathered at NTR's statue in the city. The tributes unfolded simultaneously across the region.
