RJD's Tejashwi Yadav to Visit Ranchi for State-Level Party Program
Ranchi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) working president Tejashwi Yadav is likely to visit the city on Saturday to participate in the party's state-level program scheduled for Sunday. This announcement was made by former Union minister and Jharkhand in-charge of the organization, Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, during a media briefing at the party office on Friday.
Focus on National and State Issues
Addressing the media, Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav stated that the meeting will discuss burning issues affecting both the nation and states, including Jharkhand. He highlighted several critical concerns:
- High inflation and unemployment across the country
- Collapse of law and order in Bihar, with crimes against women occurring in broad daylight
He emphasized that these issues require immediate attention and will be central to the party's discussions during the upcoming program.
RJD's Role in Jharkhand Politics
Regarding Jharkhand, Yadav asserted that RJD played a crucial role in forming the current grand alliance government in the state. He expressed confidence in the party's mass base, which he believes will be further expanded through strategic initiatives:
- Strengthening various party cells, including those for women
- Conducting membership drives to increase participation
He stated, "The party has a strong foundation that we plan to build upon through organized efforts and community engagement."
National Unity and Electoral Strategy
Despite the split in the grand alliance in Assam, Yadav claimed that at the national level, the group remains united. He expressed optimism that this unity would prevent the BJP from coming to power in the five states going to the polls this month.
He further alleged that in the Bihar elections, the RJD-led alliance was poised to win, but the BJP "kidnapped" the voters through special intensive review mechanisms. Yadav described this as a murder of democracy, accusing the ruling party of undermining electoral integrity.
The upcoming visit and program are seen as part of RJD's broader strategy to consolidate its position in Jharkhand and address key political challenges at both state and national levels.
