Fatal Truck Accident on Ludhiana-Delhi Highway

The deceased, identified as Narinder Kaur, a resident of Rasidpur village in Fatehgarh Sahib district, died on the spot after being run over by a speeding container truck. Her husband, Bharpur Singh, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital.

The impact of the collision was so intense that Narinder Kaur was dragged under the vehicle, leading to her instantaneous death. Eyewitness Amandeep reported that the container driver was speeding and attempted to flee the scene. Local residents chased the driver and managed to apprehend him, subsequently handing him over to the police.
Another eyewitness, Amandeep Singh, stated that Bharpur Singh lay on the road for a considerable time, pleading for help.
