Hyderabad Police Register Two Cases Against MLA Talasani
Police in Hyderabad have taken action against former minister and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav. They registered two separate cases following complaints from Congress party workers. The workers alleged that Talasani made inappropriate remarks about Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Congress Workers Lodge Formal Complaints
Congress worker Ravi Kiran filed the first complaint with SR Nagar police. He stated that Talasani made objectionable comments during a recent media conference. This event took place at a function hall in Balamrai. Talasani was speaking about the formation of the Secunderabad Municipal Corporation at the time.
In a similar move, another Congress worker named Chiranjeevi approached Begumpet police. He also lodged a complaint against the MLA. Both complaints focused on the alleged derogatory remarks targeting the chief minister.
Police Act Swiftly on the Complaints
Acting on these complaints, SR Nagar police registered a case on Tuesday. They invoked specific sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The case includes Section 351 for criminal intimidation. It also includes Section 352 for intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace.
Begumpet police followed suit. They registered a separate case against Talasani on the same day. This case also falls under the same BNS sections. The police actions highlight the seriousness of the allegations.
The developments underscore ongoing political tensions in Hyderabad. They show how public statements by politicians can lead to legal consequences. The cases will now proceed through the judicial system for further investigation and possible action.
