Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Teachers in Suryapet

Details of the Fatal Crash
The accident took place around 7:30 AM at Aravapally village on National Highway-365 B. Four government school teachers were carpooling from Nalgonda to reach Thungathurthi in Suryapet. They worked at different schools but shared the commute.
According to police reports, the car driver lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the carriageway, fell onto boulders several feet below the road surface, and then struck a tree. Authorities suspect speeding played a major role in causing the crash.
Victims and Survivors
Teacher Kalpana, aged 48, died instantly at the scene. Her colleague Geetha Reddy, 40, succumbed to her injuries while being transported in an ambulance. Both women were seated in the rear passenger seat and bore the full impact of the collision.
Three other individuals survived with injuries. They include A Praveen, who occupied the front passenger seat, Sunitha Rani, and the car driver identified as Giri. The vehicle belonged to Geetha Reddy, who had employed Giri as her driver for approximately eight months.
Police Investigation and Statements
Aravapally sub-inspector Saidulu provided details to reporters. He confirmed that the speeding car first landed on boulders before flipping over. Police have registered a case against the driver under charges of negligence causing death.
The sub-inspector also revealed that both deceased teachers had recently received promotions and transfers to Thungathurthi. Their tragic deaths occurred just as they were beginning this new chapter in their careers.
This accident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety, particularly during morning commutes when schools reopen after holidays. The local community mourns the loss of these dedicated educators.
