Veerashaiva Mahasabha President Selection to Follow Bylaws, Says Seer
Veerashaiva Mahasabha President Selection to Follow Bylaws

The selection process for the new national president of the Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha will strictly adhere to the organization's established bylaws. This announcement came from Channasiddharama Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swamiji of the Shrishaila Peetha.

Committee to Oversee Selection

Speaking to the media in Belagavi on Friday, the seer clarified the procedure. A dedicated committee has been constituted to identify eligible candidates. This committee will then make the final decision based on the mahasabha's rules and procedures.

"Merely mentioning a person's name does not guarantee their appointment as president," Shivacharya Swamiji emphasized. "The choice will be made strictly as per the mahasabha's own regulations."

On BS Yediyurappa's Potential Candidacy

When questioned about former chief minister BS Yediyurappa as a possible candidate, the seer offered a clear perspective. He stated there would be no objection if Yediyurappa were elected through the proper channels.

"Yediyurappa has done commendable work," Shivacharya Swamiji noted. "If he is chosen in full accordance with our bylaws, there is nothing wrong with that outcome. The entire community will unite to select a deserving and capable individual for this important role."

The position of national president became vacant a month ago following the demise of Shamanuru Shivashankarappa. The mahasabha is now moving forward with a structured and rule-based process to fill this leadership role.
