Tamil Nadu politics has entered a fresh phase of turmoil as rebel AIADMK MLAs extended support to Chief Minister Vijay ahead of his floor test. Led by SP Velumani and C Ve Shanmugam, the faction has questioned Edappadi K Palaniswami’s leadership after the party’s poor election performance. The rebels opposed any move to align with the DMK, insisting AIADMK was founded to fight the party. Meanwhile, the official AIADMK leadership warned MLAs against defying the party whip during the crucial Assembly vote.
