The Airmen Training School (ATS) in Belagavi witnessed a proud moment on Saturday as it celebrated the successful graduation of its sixth batch of Agniveervayu trainees. A total of 1,264 Agniveervayus, comprising both men and women, formally passed out after completing their demanding 22-week ab-initio training program.
Ceremony Presided Over by Senior Air Force Official
The passing-out parade was graced by Air Vice Marshal Venkat T Mare, who serves as the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Training) for the Indian Air Force. As the Reviewing Officer for the event, he took the salute of the impressive parade. He expressed his admiration for the precision, discipline, and dedication showcased by the young trainees during the drill. The officer also extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the successful candidates and their proud families who were present to witness the milestone event.
Outstanding Trainees Honored with Awards
The ceremony also included a segment to felicitate the top performers from the batch who excelled in various domains of their training. The award winners were presented with trophies for their exceptional achievements. AGVT Ashish Gurjar and AGVT Neeraj were jointly adjudged the ‘Best in Academics’. AGVT Rihanshu Nathawat secured the title of ‘Best in General Service Training’, while AGVT Kumavat Vivek Govardhan was recognized as the ‘Best Marksman’. The prestigious ‘Best All-Rounder’ award was bestowed upon AGVT Priyanshu Singh.
Charge to the New Agniveervayus
In his address, the Reviewing Officer, Air Vice Marshal Venkat T Mare, urged the newly graduated Agniveervayus to carry forward the values instilled during their training. He emphasized the need for them to remain vigilant, adaptable, and deeply committed to their duties. This call to action was framed within the context of the ever-evolving global security landscape, highlighting the dynamic challenges that the modern defense forces must be prepared to face.
