At the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) convocation, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, former chief scientist of the World Health Organization, emphasized that science must reach society with integrity and transparency. She addressed the graduating class of 2025-26, urging them to uphold ethical standards in their scientific endeavors.

A total of 1,570 students received their degrees during the convocation for the academic year 2025-26. This includes 1,452 PhD and Master’s graduates, alongside 118 undergraduate students. The numbers reflect IISc's continued focus on advanced research and education in science and technology.
