Stephen & Ayesha Curry's Foundation Completes Final 2025 Schoolyard Project in Oakland
Currys' Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation Transforms 24th Oakland School

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and his wife, entrepreneur Ayesha Curry, have a reason to celebrate off the basketball court. Their philanthropic organisation, the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, has successfully wrapped up its last major schoolyard renovation project for the year, marking a significant milestone in their mission to support children in Oakland, California.

Emerson Elementary Gets a Vibrant Makeover

A few hours ago, the foundation shared the uplifting news through a social media post. The final project of 2025 was completed at Emerson Elementary School in Oakland. The transformation is comprehensive, providing students with new gardens, sports courts, a soccer pitch, colourful murals, and modern play structures.

The foundation's post featured staff celebrating the newly built outdoor spaces, which were actually designed with input from the children themselves. The caption proudly announced, "Our final schoolyard build of the year is officially complete. Emerson Elementary now has beautiful, kid-designed outdoor spaces for play and learning. And with this transformation, we’ve now impacted 24 Oakland schools!" This achievement highlights the couple's long-standing, publicly stated passion for their foundation's work.

A Foundation Focused on Nurturing Potential

Stephen and Ayesha Curry have consistently used their platform to advocate for children's welfare through Eat. Learn. Play. Back in May 2025, Ayesha elaborated on the foundation's impact in an interview with TIME Magazine. She emphasised the profound effect of personalised attention, stating that with just a little bit of one-on-one tutoring, children make leaps and bounds in their progress.

"They’re also being instilled with so much confidence now that is shifting to every other subject matter within the school day. It’s such a beautiful thing," Ayesha told the publication. While the couple has not yet made individual statements about this latest achievement at Emerson Elementary, the milestone stands as a testament to their commitment.

Celebration Amidst Recent Controversy

The positive news arrives during a period when the high-profile couple has faced considerable public criticism and online trolling. The scrutiny primarily targeted Ayesha Curry following her appearance on the popular 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, where she made candid remarks about her life before marriage.

Ayesha revealed, "No. I didn’t want kids. I didn’t want to get married. I thought I was going to be a ‘career girl,’ and that’s it." She further explained that after marrying Stephen, they discovered they were pregnant with their daughter very quickly, leaving little time to reconsider her plans. These honest comments sparked significant online debate and outrage, though the Currys have chosen to remain silent on the controversy.

Despite the recent personal challenges, their foundation's work continues to create tangible, positive change. The completion of the Emerson Elementary project solidifies the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation's growing legacy, having now directly transformed the environments of 24 schools in the Oakland community, focusing on nutrition, education, and physical activity for thousands of children.
