Gursewak Singh Earns Spot in Indian Junior Hockey Squad for Belgium Tour
Roundglass Hockey Academy striker Gursewak Singh has been selected for the Indian junior men's hockey team's exposure tour to Belgium. The tour is scheduled from July 5 to 18, 2026, providing the young players with a crucial opportunity to compete against top European teams.
Tour Schedule and Opponents
During the tour, India will play matches against four of Europe's strongest hockey nations: Austria, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. The team will begin their campaign against Austria on July 7 and 8. They will then face hosts Belgium on July 10, Germany on July 13, and Belgium again on July 14. The tour will conclude with a match against the Netherlands on July 17.
Gursewak's Rise in Hockey
Gursewak has been captaining the Roundglass Hockey Academy team, leading them to multiple domestic titles. He earned his maiden international call-up in May 2024 for a European tour across Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. Following his strong performances in the domestic circuit, he was also included in Hockey India's 40-member core probable group for the junior national coaching camps.
