Jaipur: The Jaipur district boys and girls basketball teams finished as runners-up in the 51st Rajasthan Sub-Junior State Basketball Championship, held recently in Mangrol (Baran). Both teams were defeated in their respective finals, settling for silver medals.
Boys Final: Jaipur vs Jaisalmer Academy
In the boys final, Jaipur put up a strong fight against Jaisalmer Academy but ultimately fell short. The team's tall and promising cager, Priyanshu Choudhary, impressed everyone with his brilliant performance on the court.
Girls Final: Jaipur vs Bhilwara
The girls final saw Bhilwara proving too strong for Jaipur, as the latter had to settle for the silver medal. Rajveer Singh Jhala served as the coach for the Jaipur team.
Recognition and Congratulations
Dilip Poonia, secretary of the Jaipur District Basketball Association, extended his best wishes to the team and expressed hope for a bright future for the players. This achievement is being hailed as a significant milestone in the district's sports history. Vishwas Kumar, coach of The Playing Nest Basketball, also praised the team's performance, stating that winning two silver medals in the state championship is a matter of pride for Jaipur.
