Lucknow School Games 2025: Day 6 Showcases Youth Talent

The spirit of youth sportsmanship and raw talent took center stage in Lucknow on Saturday as the city's young athletes delivered a thrilling performance on the sixth day of the ongoing Lucknow School Games 2025. The historic Chowk Stadium buzzed with energy as students from numerous schools competed in yoga and various athletic disciplines.

Yoga and Athletics Take the Spotlight

The day's events featured two major segments. A yoga competition saw enthusiastic participation from students representing around 15 different schools. Simultaneously, the track and field arena was alive with action as athletes from 12 schools competed in running and throwing events.

The athletic contests included a range of races from the sprints like the 100m, 200m, and 400m to the more endurance-testing 800m and 1500m runs. Field events were equally competitive, with students demonstrating their power in the shot put and javelin throw. In total, nearly 165 athletes displayed their dedication, strength, speed, and agility across these multiple categories.

Celebrating Achievement and Patriotism

The event was graced by distinguished guests who presented prizes to the winners. The chief guests for the ceremony were RSS Kshetriya Prachar Pramukh Manoj and Lucknow Journalists' Committee (LJK) vice president Ritu Misha. The stadium atmosphere reached a patriotic peak as the arena echoed with resonant chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.

A Platform for Every Child's Dream

One such athlete, Vidyant Dubey, a race participant from Amity International School, shared his excitement: "I always wanted to showcase my talent on some platform outside my school and today I got the opportunity to do so." His words captured the essence of the games—providing a broader stage for young talent to be recognized and celebrated.

The successful sixth day sets the stage for the grand finale of the seven-day sporting extravaganza, highlighting Lucknow's commitment to nurturing sports and holistic development among its student community.
