Porsche driver Nico Muller registered his first Formula E victory on the team's home ground in Berlin, making the special pink pig livery worthwhile. His win at the Berlin E-Prix Part 1 on Saturday added to Porsche's 75th anniversary celebrations.
Podium Finishers
Nick Cassidy finished second, continuing his streak of winning the Berlin E-Prix for three consecutive seasons. Season 11 champion Oliver Rowland took third place after starting from the same grid position.
Nico Muller Claims First Win on Porsche's Home Ground
Nico Muller replaced Antonio Felix da Costa at Porsche this season after da Costa moved to Jaguar TCS Racing. Muller made contact with DS Penske's Taylor Barnard as both battled for their first Formula E win at the challenging Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit. The 34-year-old Swiss driver finally claimed victory, while Barnard ended up in eighth position. Muller moved up to third in the Formula E Drivers' Standings with 75 points, replacing Mitch Evans who dropped to fourth. Muller had secured second place at the Miami E-Prix earlier this year, and his win in Berlin has strengthened his position in the title race.
