Manush praised the development of table tennis in Gujarat. Cities like Surat and Vadodara now host prestigious tournaments regularly. Training in Europe has significantly improved Manush's game. He lived in Germany and now trains in the Czech Republic. Living independently taught him valuable life skills, including cooking and managing daily routines.
"I learned to cook three meals a day and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes," he recalled. Grocery shopping became a pleasant activity. These experiences made him more self-reliant.
Manush appreciates the support from Indian table tennis bodies like TTFI and UTT. Playing alongside top global players, such as Benedikt Duda, has been a highlight. He looks up to Duda as a role model.
Missing Home During Festivals
Professional commitments keep Manush away from family during festivals. He cannot recall the last time he celebrated Uttarayan. This year, he will be in Doha representing India.
Childhood memories of flying kites with relatives and enjoying undhiyu-puri remain dear. "I miss home during these times, but it's part of being an athlete," he said. The sacrifice is necessary for his career.
