Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta has emphasized that establishing a healthy India is the fundamental requirement for realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed nation. The parliamentarian made these remarks while inaugurating the Namo Badminton Tournament at Mangala Stadium in Mangaluru on Saturday.
Sports Tournaments Driving National Vision
Speaking at the event, Capt Chowta outlined how various sporting events across the country are contributing to PM Modi's vision for a healthy and developed India. "Fit, young, and Atmanirbhar India will lead to a developed India", he stated, highlighting the significance of the ongoing parliamentary sports festival.
The MP detailed the sequence of tournaments being organized under this initiative. "The Namo sports competitions organized as part of this parliamentary sports festival are an effort towards creating a healthy India. Last week, the Namo Chess Tournament was held, and now the Namo Badminton Tournament has been launched", he explained. Additionally, Chowta revealed that the Namo Volleyball Tournament was conducted on November 30.

Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath complemented the MP's efforts, noting that the Prime Minister's parliamentary sports festival is successfully encouraging young athletes across the region.
