Kapil Dev applauds the alliance
Former Indian cricket team captain and PGTI President Kapil Dev hailed the tie-up, stating that it would strengthen professional golf in the country by ensuring seamless travel for players and officials. According to Kapil Dev, the tour is delighted to welcome Air India as its Official Travel Partner at a time when professional golf in India is expanding its footprint. He emphasized that the association would allow players, officials, and stakeholders to focus entirely on their performances.
Maharaja Club's role as Official Travel Partner
Under the partnership, Maharaja Club will provide comprehensive travel support for players, officials, and tournament stakeholders throughout the season. This initiative aims to enable participants to concentrate on competition and performance without logistical concerns. Air India's Chief Commercial Officer, Nipun Aggarwal, noted that the airline is committed to supporting sporting excellence through reliable travel while contributing to the development of golf in India. He added that the partnership would also create unique experiences for Maharaja Club members.
Exclusive benefits for Maharaja Club members
Maharaja Club members will gain access to exclusive experiences at select tournaments, including hospitality access, privileged entry, and curated engagement opportunities. The airline intends to leverage its domestic and international network to support the tour's ambition of expanding the reach of Indian golf both within India and globally.
Fan engagement and global reach
Air India stated that the partnership will be activated across the DP World PGTI calendar through fan engagement initiatives. By utilizing its extensive network, the airline aims to enhance the visibility of Indian golf internationally. This collaboration aligns with Air India's strategy to strengthen Maharaja Club's positioning as a comprehensive travel and lifestyle rewards platform while fostering the growth of golf in India.
