India suffered a 1-4 shootout defeat against England after a hard-fought 2-2 draw in the London leg of the FIH Pro League at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Thursday.

England equalised in the 29th minute through a field goal by Goodfield, who volleyed home after a deflection left him unmarked in the circle.
Second Half and Late Drama
The third quarter was tightly contested with both sides earning penalty corners and creating field-goal opportunities, but the score remained 1-1. Early in the fourth quarter, Bandurak was unmarked on the far post, but Indian goalkeeper Suraj Karkera made an incredible save to keep India in the game. England dominated possession, but India showed resilience. However, with four minutes left, Bandurak scored from a low dragflick on a penalty corner, finding the bottom right corner.
India bounced back quickly in the 58th minute. Sumit showed great skill to push towards the goal and passed to Dilpreet, who struck a powerful shot through the goalkeeper's legs to level the score at 2-2 and force a shootout.
Shootout and Bonus Point
England won the shootout 4-1 to claim the bonus point. Sorsby and Albery converted their opening attempts, Wallace scored from the penalty stroke, and then converted the fourth attempt to seal victory. Harmanpreet Singh scored India's only shootout goal.
