K V Aneesh contributed 29 off 24, and captain Smaran Ravichandran remained unbeaten on 36 off 27. Smaran anchored the innings after early wickets, adding 20 with Tushar Singh and an unbroken 33-run partnership with Bheem Rao Navale (19 off 12) to lift the total to 173 for 6.

For the Blasters, Rohan Raju took 3 for 21.
