Boys' U-15 Final: Sector 37 School Triumphs
The boys' U-15 team of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 37, represented by the Chandigarh Football Academy (CFA) players, secured a spot in the International Subroto Football Cup by defeating Strawberry Fields High School (SFHS), Sector 26, 3-0 in the Pre-Subroto Cup final. The match was played at the GMSSS, Sector 37 grounds. Jayaraj opened the scoring in the 25th minute, followed by Krishna doubling the lead just four minutes later. After halftime, SFHS attempted a comeback, but Aastl sealed the victory with a third goal for the Sector 37 team.
Strawberry Fields Qualify in U-17 Group
In the Under-17 category, Strawberry Fields High School qualified for the Subroto Cup by defeating Vivek High School, Sector 38, 4-0 in the local final at GMSSS, Sector 22. Shreyaan scored the opener in the 13th minute, and Aryanbir extended the lead in the 22nd minute. Bickson made it 3-0 in the 26th minute, and Shivansh completed the scoring in the 35th minute. The Sector 26 side maintained their lead comfortably until the final whistle.
Girls' U-17 Semifinals: GMSSS-22 and RC Dhanas Advance
In the girls' U-17 Pre-Subroto Cup semifinal at GMSSS, Sector 22, the hosts defeated Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, 3-0. Ishita starred with two goals, netting in the fourth and ninth minutes, while Manshi added the third in the 11th minute to seal the win. In the other semifinal, Government Model High School, RC Dhanas, thrashed Government Model Senior Secondary School, Khuda Lahora, 7-0. Navpreet scored a hat-trick (12th, 19th, 53rd minutes), while Nidhi (3rd), Joti (31st), Kanchan (52nd), and Raj Nandini (55th) each contributed a goal.
