Dumka: Two friends lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a sand-laden truck near Gamharia on National Highway 133 in Godda district on Sunday, police confirmed. The victims were reportedly searching for one of their mobile phones that had been misplaced the previous day, according to sources.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Satyam Kumar (22), a resident of Nunajor, and Vipin Kumar Mandal (25), who hailed from Bhagalpur district. Both were on the two-wheeler when the accident occurred.

Police Response

Mahagama police immediately rushed the injured to a local community health centre, where doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival. The police station in-charge, Manoj Kumar Pal, stated that the accident involved an unidentified vehicle, and efforts are underway to trace it. He added that further investigation is in progress to determine the exact cause of the collision.
