The fourth edition of the Oriental Cup 2026 witnessed fierce competition on Day 3 as several teams secured their spots in the next round despite persistent rain at the Dr Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. Mother's International School, Mount Carmel School, GD Goenka School, Bharti Public School, and Vinay Nagar Bangali Senior Secondary School advanced in the Boys' category, while Mother's International School and Bharti Public School progressed in the Girls' category.

Boys' Category Results

Mother's International School kicked off Day 3 with a dominant 2-0 victory over Government Co-Education Senior Secondary School, Dwarka. Trigya Chaturvedi opened the scoring in the 10th minute, and Aavir Singh doubled the lead just two minutes later. The two first-half goals proved enough to secure their place in the next round.

Mount Carmel School, Dwarka secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Amity International School, Saket. Ranveer Singh Rana opened the scoring in the 10th minute, and substitute Aryan Walia doubled the advantage in the 29th minute, ensuring a comfortable passage.

GD Goenka School, Dwarka edged past Kendriya Vidyalaya, RK Puram 5-3 in a penalty shootout after a thrilling 2-2 draw in regulation time. Rajat Singh Khati gave Kendriya Vidyalaya an early lead in the second minute, and Raj Rawat doubled the advantage in the 28th minute. GD Goenka staged a remarkable late comeback as Kaartikya Kashyap Chugh reduced the deficit in the 34th minute, and Prateek Singh restored parity two minutes later. The match was decided from the spot, with GD Goenka holding their nerve to win 5-3.

Bharti Public School and Vinay Nagar Bangali Senior Secondary School advanced via walkovers against Amity International School, Noida and Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, respectively.

Girls' Category Results

Mother's International School registered a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Government Co-Education Senior Secondary School, Dwarka. Prithika Selvi Sundar scored the decisive goal in the 22nd minute, which proved enough to send them through.

Bharti Public School also advanced in the Girls' category after Amity International School, Noida conceded a walkover.

Tournament Overview

The Oriental Cup 2026, held from July 7 to July 16 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, features over 1,500 student-athletes from more than 45 teams across Delhi-NCR. The tournament boasts a more than doubled prize pool and a ₹2.5 lakh scholarship programme for 10 deserving student-athletes. It is supported by Oriental Structural Engineers Pvt.
