Sai Sudharsan entered the Indian Premier League (IPL) record books on Friday by becoming the fastest batter to complete 2,000 runs in the tournament. The Gujarat Titans opener achieved this milestone during the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Record-Breaking Achievement
The left-handed batter reached the landmark in just 47 innings, surpassing the previous record held by Chris Gayle, who had taken 48 innings to get to 2,000 IPL runs. Sudharsan came into the match needing 72 runs to break the record, and with his knock, he took his overall tally beyond 2,000 runs.
