Andretti driver Jake Dennis started from a discouraging 13th position on the grid in Formula E Round 7 in Berlin but went on to finish in fifth position. He also earned additional points for recording the fastest lap at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit on Saturday.
Family Support at the Berlin E-Prix
What made the race even more special for the driver was the presence of his mom and a few others who cheered for him from the stands while sporting custom T-shirts with a mention of their relationship with Dennis. After the race, Jake Dennis shared a bunch of pictures, a few of his mom, who flew in to Berlin to watch the Berlin E-Prix. Two pictures showed his mom sporting a T-shirt with 'Jakes mum' printed on the back. A few other people with similar T-shirts are also seen in the pictures.
Dennis's Post-Race Message
He wrote along with the pictures, 'P5 & fastest lap! We didn’t nail the pitboost strategy but with a good car we pulled it back to a decent result! Huge congrats to @nico.mueller51 on his first race win! couldn’t be more deserved! We go again tomorrow!' Dennis congratulated Muller for winning the Berlin E-Prix, claiming his maiden Formula E victory. Muller moved from Andretti to Porsche this season.
Jake Dennis's Girlfriend Also Present
Jake Dennis’s girlfriend Lexi Grace Boosey was also present at the circuit. In a candid post on her Instagram Stories, she shared a viral video about 'Girls who go on their husband’s work trips just for the hotel room alone' and mentioned that she was such a girl. The couple recently moved into their new home in Spain’s Marbella. In a recent Instagram video, Boosey mentioned it was Dennis’s holiday home. Over a few weeks, they have been sharing many pictures and videos to give their fans a glimpse of their new house.
Jake Dennis's Position in Formula E Title Race
Jake Dennis managed to finish fifth and even set the fastest lap despite two failed attempts at Attack Mode activation during the race. Had the Andretti driver been able to utilise the Attack Mode, he could have achieved an even better finish. Dennis is now eighth in the Formula E Drivers’ Standings with 58 points. He won the first race of the season in Sao Paulo in December.
