Ludhiana judoka Manvi secured a bronze medal in the 44kg category at the Cadet National Judo Championship, further extending her impressive run on the national stage. The achievement brought pride to the Ludhiana Judo Academy, which operates at the Guru Nanak Stadium under the Punjab Sports Department, and was celebrated by the local sporting fraternity.
Coaching and Dedication
Senior coach Parveen Thakur, who guides Manvi’s training, attributed her latest success to years of hard work and disciplined preparation. Despite facing tough competition from participants across various states, Manvi displayed remarkable determination and fighting spirit to secure a podium finish, Thakur noted.
Previous Achievements
Manvi has already established herself as an emerging talent in combat sports. Last year, she won gold at the National School Kurash Championship held in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Before that, she clinched gold at the state championship to earn her national qualification, gaining valuable experience and recognition along the way.
