HMD Global, the company behind Nokia phones, has officially launched four new 4G feature phones: the Nokia 215, Nokia 225, Nokia 235, and Nokia 125. These devices aim to bring modern features to the classic feature phone form factor, including an AI assistant button and USB-C charging.
Key Features Across the Range
All four phones come with a dedicated AI assistant button that provides quick access to voice commands and app shortcuts. They also feature USB-C charging, a significant upgrade from older micro-USB ports, ensuring faster and more convenient charging. The phones run on Nokia's Series 30+ operating system and support 4G VoLTE for clear voice calls.
The Nokia 215 and 225 offer a 2.4-inch QVGA display, while the Nokia 235 features a slightly larger 2.8-inch display. The Nokia 125 has a smaller 2.4-inch screen. All models include a rear camera: the 215 and 225 have a 0.3MP camera, the 235 boasts a 2MP camera, and the 125 has a 0.3MP camera. They also feature a built-in FM radio, MP3 player, and support for up to 32GB microSD cards.
Pricing and Availability
The Nokia 215 is priced at around $30, the Nokia 225 at $35, the Nokia 235 at $40, and the Nokia 125 at $25. They will be available in select markets starting August 2026. According to HMD Global, the phones target users seeking durability and long battery life with modern connectivity.
Impact and Target Audience
These launches highlight Nokia's continued focus on the feature phone segment, which still holds significant market share in emerging economies. The inclusion of 4G and an AI assistant aims to bridge the gap between basic phones and smartphones. According to industry analysts, this move could help Nokia regain ground in markets where affordable smartphones are still out of reach for many consumers.
