The Rohtak district administration has made comprehensive security and logistical arrangements for the smooth conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21. A total of 17 examination centres have been established across the district to accommodate candidates.
Exam Timings and Duration
The exam will be conducted in offline mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm IST. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta stated that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the exam duration by 15 minutes this year compared to previous years. Candidates with disabilities will be provided an additional hour to complete the test.
Security Measures and Protocols
Gupta directed all departments to ensure that candidates face no inconvenience and that the examination strictly adheres to NTA guidelines. He emphasized the need for thorough training of centre superintendents to ensure strict compliance with all protocols.
Key security arrangements include:
- Question papers will be transported to centres under police escort without any unscheduled stops.
- The entire process will be videographed for transparency.
- Mobile jammers and CCTV cameras will be installed at all centres.
- Officials have been instructed to ensure proper packing of OMR sheets and other materials as per NTA norms, with videography.
Infrastructure and Civic Arrangements
Gupta instructed Municipal Corporation officials to repair the damaged road near Model School and identify parking spaces near a school on Hisar Road for parents. He also directed departments to ensure uninterrupted law and order, electricity, water supply, transport, and healthcare services during the exam.
Biometric Verification and Frisking
Highlighting security measures, Gupta said the NTA will conduct biometric verification, deploy mobile jammers, and carry out strict frisking at all centres. He urged departments to coordinate closely to ensure a peaceful and transparent exam.
Police Deployment and Surveillance
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit stated that only authorized officials and candidates will be allowed inside the centres. As per NTA rules, no one except the centre superintendent can carry mobile phones or digital devices inside the exam hall.
Rajpurohit added, "Two police personnel will be deployed on the rooftops of each centre for surveillance. Superintendents have been instructed to ensure timely rooftop access and provide drinking water for the personnel due to the summer heat."
The comprehensive arrangements aim to ensure a fair and secure examination environment for all candidates appearing in the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam in Rohtak.
