The central government has decided to involve the Indian Air Force in the transportation of NEET-UG examination papers to prevent any potential leaks. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made this announcement on Tuesday, stating that all wings of the government involved in the examination process are now collaborating to find effective solutions.
Air Force to Ensure Secure Transport
In a significant move to enhance the security of the NEET-UG examination process, the Ministry of Education has roped in the Air Force to handle the transportation of question papers. This decision comes in the wake of concerns over previous paper leaks that have compromised the integrity of competitive exams. By utilizing the Air Force's secure logistics, the government aims to eliminate any risk of tampering or unauthorized access during transit.
Government's Coordinated Efforts
Minister Pradhan emphasized that multiple government agencies are now working in tandem to address the issue. The Ministry of Education, along with the Ministry of Defence and other stakeholders, is developing a comprehensive strategy to safeguard the examination process. This includes not only secure transportation but also enhanced monitoring and storage protocols.
The NEET-UG exam, which is the gateway for medical admissions in India, has faced scrutiny in the past due to allegations of irregularities. The government's latest initiative reflects its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent examination system.
Further details regarding the implementation of this plan are expected to be released in the coming days. The move has been welcomed by students and education experts who have long called for stricter measures to prevent malpractices.
