SpaceX Hiring for Critical AI Satellite Roles
Musk amplified posts shared by Michael Nicolls, Vice President of Starlink Engineering at SpaceX, confirming that the company is hiring across multiple critical disciplines to develop "AI satellites." Nicolls stated, "We are hiring for many critical engineering roles to develop the technologies for AI satellites in space at our facilities in Austin and Seattle. Solar, process, automation, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, optics, software... come build space data centers with great engineers at SpaceX and Starlink." Musk enthusiastically replied, "Help take humanity to the stars!"
In a second post, Nicolls highlighted additional opportunities, saying, "We are also hiring elite engineers at our new 230 MeV cyclotron facility in Florida, where we are bringing single-event radiation testing in house to accelerate development across all SpaceX vehicles." Musk responded with notable pride, "Not many companies have cyclotrons!" A cyclotron is a type of compact particle accelerator used for advanced testing.
