The highly anticipated 'Superman' sequel, 'Man of Tomorrow', officially began shooting on Monday, and fresh photos from the sets have already surfaced online, capturing David Corenswet's Superman going toe-to-toe with Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor. Director James Gunn has wasted no time in pitting the Man of Steel against his iconic rival.
Viral Set Photos Show Intense Battle
The viral clips and photos from the sets reveal Corenswet's Superman engaging in a fierce battle with Hoult's Lex Luthor. The behind-the-scenes footage offers one of the clearest looks yet at the highly anticipated fight scenes, featuring Lex in his iconic villain's heavily armed war suit. In the videos, the two actors appear to be filming amid a busy street. Hoult was seen casually walking around the sets in his new suit before taking his place for the scene. While the new war armor is expected to bring Superman to his knees, the clips show Lex without his helmet, getting overpowered by his rival.
Lex Luthor's War Suit Revealed
The appearance of the war suit comes just days after Gunn officially teased the costume by sharing the first image of Hoult on social media. The footage also provides a glimpse of Corenswet fully embracing the role of Superman and bringing iconic comic-book scenes to the screen. The actor began shooting his segments with aerial shots, suspended from a crane.
