Karnataka BJP president B Y Vijayendra traveled by Namma Metro in Bengaluru on Thursday, throwing his weight behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for fuel conservation. Speaking to reporters during his transit, Vijayendra emphasized that leaders must lead by example to inspire the public to adopt energy-saving habits.
Setting an Example for the Masses
Vijayendra boarded the metro from the majestic Mysuru Road station and alighted at the Vidhana Soudha station, a journey that took him through the heart of the city. He was accompanied by party workers and security personnel. During the ride, he interacted with fellow commuters, urging them to embrace public transport to reduce fuel consumption and pollution.
"If we as leaders expect the common man to save fuel, we must first demonstrate it ourselves. Taking the metro is a small but significant step towards a larger goal of energy conservation," Vijayendra told reporters at the Vidhana Soudha metro station.

The BJP state chief's metro ride comes days after PM Modi urged citizens to use public transport and adopt fuel-saving measures to reduce India's dependence on imported oil.
