Honda is actively preparing a mid-cycle update for its popular City sedan, with development already in progress. A partially camouflaged prototype has been observed on public roads in Brazil, signaling that rigorous testing is underway ahead of its anticipated global debut.
Spy Shots Reveal Minor Exterior Revisions
A single image from testing has surfaced, showing the rear of the updated City. Earlier speculation suggested the facelift might adopt styling cues from the new Civic, but the latest spy shot indicates only subtle revisions rather than a comprehensive redesign.
The test vehicle's rear profile remains largely unchanged, confirming the Honda City facelift will retain its existing silhouette. Visible updates include revised tail-lamps, a reworked rear bumper, and a fresh set of alloy wheels, pointing to restrained design modifications.
At the front, the update is expected to be more pronounced, with a redesigned bumper, a new grille, and slimmer headlamps. Adjustments to the lower grille and minor revisions to the bonnet are also anticipated. Overall, the facelift appears to concentrate on incremental styling enhancements rather than a full transformation.
Interior Upgrades Focus on Features and Comfort

- A segment-first hybrid powertrain: a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine delivering 124 hp and 253 Nm of torque.
