Liquidnitro Games Raises $19.1 Million in Series A Funding Round

Liquidnitro Games has successfully raised $19.1 million in a Series A funding round. Northpoint Capital led this investment round. Existing investor Nexus Venture Partners also participated in the funding.

Funding to Fuel AI-Powered Game Development

The Hyderabad-based game production and live services company will use this capital to accelerate investment in its proprietary AI-powered platform. The funds will help scale co-investment partnerships with publishers. Global market expansion remains another key focus area for the company.

Sandeep Kowdley, CEO of Liquidnitro, explained their strategy. "We combine over a decade of experience running major franchises with deep investments in our AI platform," he said. "We deploy capital alongside partners to create a compelling value proposition for publishers in a challenging market."

Disrupting the Live Services Model

Liquidnitro works with global game publishers to build, operate, and scale games across different platforms and geographies. The company follows a unique operating model. This model combines AI-driven production and live services with aligned capital deployment.

Arun Kunchala, chief product officer at Liquidnitro, highlighted their disruptive approach. "Live services has followed the same formula for years," Kunchala stated. "We are here to disrupt that. Our platform powers the next generation of games with deeper, richer, and more personalized experiences."

Investor Confidence and Future Plans

Sameer Brij Verma, founder and CIO of Northpoint Capital, expressed strong confidence in Liquidnitro. "Liquidnitro is becoming the go-to AI-powered partner for leading game publishers," Verma said. "Their combination of AI-driven live operations, deep P&L ownership, and aligned capital creates a powerful new operating model." Verma previously served as managing director at Nexus Venture Partners.

Nexus Venture Partners, an early backer, has supported Liquidnitro since its inception. Pratik Poddar, partner at Nexus Venture Partners, commented on the company's progress. "This team is building a category-defining company," Poddar noted. "We have watched them execute since the concept stage."

Liquidnitro has already partnered with multiple global publishers during its first 24 months of operations. The company supports development and live operations of large-scale games across various platforms and markets. Specific partner names remain undisclosed.

Global Expansion Focus

Following this funding round, Liquidnitro plans significant expansion. The company will increase investment across its AI platform and operating footprint. Key growth markets include:

  • India
  • The Middle East and North Africa
  • Southeast Asia

This strategic expansion aims to strengthen Liquidnitro's position in emerging gaming markets worldwide.
