The incident unfolded when a woman from Sidhi district attended a marriage function at a relative's home in Rewa, accompanied by her teenage son. On Saturday afternoon, around 2 pm, she discovered that her jewellery box was missing, according to Chorhata police station in-charge Ashish Mishra. The woman immediately reported the theft to the police, noting that her son was also absent, which raised immediate suspicions about his potential involvement in the disappearance.
